Maryann trained at the Birmingham School of Acting. Before that she made lots of theatre at Nottingham University (when she wasn’t studying English) There she met some pretty amazing people (Emily, Jim & Phil) who introduced her to more brilliant people (Em, Nick, Debs & Carrie) and is proud to be one of the original cast members and creators of Shakespearience!

She has been lucky enough to play lots of parts in Shakespearience! including; Lady Macbeth, Nurse, Viola, Macduff, Juliet & Toby Belch (Ambassadors Theatre, Edinburgh Festival, Canterbury Festival, and several London primary schools)

Her other theatre credits include Kitty/Seriozha in Anna Karenina (Arcola Theatre); George Pig in Peppa Pig’s Adventure (Theatre Royal Haymarket); Peppa Pig in Peppa’s First Concert (Southbank Centre); Barbara Undershaft in Major Barabra (MFP, Shaw's Corner); Eleanora in Easter (The Mill Studio, Yvonne Arnaud Theatre); Maria in Twelfth Night (Strawberry Hill House, Twickenham); Perdita in The Winter’s Tale and Maria in Loves Labours Lost; (Pendley Shakespeare Festival); Hero/Borachio/Balthazar/Verges in Much Ado About Nothing; Skyresh/Glumdalclitch/King of Laputa in Gulliver's Travels; Mrs Bennet/Caroline Bingley/Lydia in Pride and Prejudice; Marianne/Lucy Steele in Sense & Sensibility (All for The Pantaloons, UK Tours); Ellie in The Internet Was Made for Adults (Hitting The Wall); She also appeared as Heather in the Web Series Quirkology (Spearhead Productions) and was Tiana Willis in the pilot for comedy TV series Snowflakes.

During lockdown(s) Maryann has loved making sketches and content for Shakespeariecnce! as well as perfecting her zoom presenting, murder mystery hosting, novel reading, and even panto performing skills!
